New Approaches to Discipline

Summitview Middle School has been piloting a new approach to helping kids who struggle behaviourally. The approach, called Collaborative Problem Solving, works from the premise that All kids do well if they can. And if they can't, then they must be lacking the necessary skills in that environment to do well. This is based on the work of Dr. Ross Greene, author of The Explosive Child and Lost at School.
